  BENDER, Wilmer -- On Thursday, November 2, 1978, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Mr. Wilmer Bender, of Hincks St. New Hamburg, aged 65 years. He was a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg, and the New Hamburg Lawn Bowling Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Marion Yantzi; two sons, Raymond of Brooks, Alta., Richard of Port Elgin and two daughters, Mrs. Allan (Rosanna) Olsson of Cambridge (H) amd Mrs. Rick (Mary Ellen) Tompkins of Kitchener. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Moses Bender, the former Catherine Roth, four brothers, Arthur, Alvin, Elon all of New Hamburg, and Nelson of Lucan and two sisters, Mrs. Mahlon (Lydia) Zehr of Tavistock and Mrs. Vernon (Katie) Zehr of New Hamburg and 13 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father the late Moses J. Bender. The late Mr. Bender is resting at the Omand-Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg after 2 p.m. this afternoon, until Saturday, November 4, at 1 p.m. when removal will be made to Zion United Church where funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. with Rev. Charles Rennie officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside cemetery, New Hamburg. The Kitchener-Waterloo Record 3 Nov 1978
