OBITUARY. - Mr. John McKee, one of Wellesley's pioneer farmers, passed peacefully away last week at his home four miles west of this place. Mr McKee was one of the first to settle in the township and hew a home for himself and family. He was a very successful farmer. About a year ago he received a stroke of paralysis which was followed by a second and third similar ones from the effects of which he died. He has been honored with various municipal honors and was highly esteemed by all who were acquainted with him. The number of people, who gathered to follow the remains to the grave, shows the high mark of esteem in which Mr. McKee was held by his friends and also the sympathy which they extend to those bereaved. The funeral which was conducted by the Orange Order, was the largest funeral procession seen for years; upwards of two hundred teams having followed the remains to Millbank where they were buried.
