      somewhat sudden Obituary.- A and sad event took place in St. Clements on Thursday, Oct. 9th, when Mr. Ambrose Starr, one of Waterloo County's oldest pioneers, died at the ripe age af 81 years. He was born in Germany in 1821 and immigrated to Canada in his youth, along with his brothers and sisters, some of whom still survive him. He leaves a widow and six sons and four daughters, vix. Alex. and Adam, Preston, Ont.; Clemens and John, of Michigan; Anthony, of Waterloo; Martin, of Salem; Elizabeth and Rosina, of Michigan; and Theresa and Catharine, of near St. Clements. We extend the family and relatives our heartfelt sympathy.
