      LINWOOD, June 22. - Word has been received by Mrs. John V. Brenner, of this village, of the death in Vancouver on Thursday of her brother, Joseph W. Heric. He had been ill for two weeks.

      Mr. Heric was born in Wellesley in 1860, and clerked for the late George Doering in Wellesley, and with R. F. Fish here. In 1885 he moved to the West and has made his home there ever since.

      He is survived by his wife, the former Laura Carmel, two sons, Frank of Seattle, and Austin of Los Angeles; three daughter's, Mrs. Veronica Cairns, and Mrs. Monica McKenty of Vancouver, and Rose of Calgary; and his sister here. One son was killed overseas in the Second Great War. Three brothers and two sisters predeceased him.

      The funeral is being held in Vancouver today.
