  WM. J. FISHER Passed Away at Home Near Wickware Apr. 13. William J. Fisher, who suffered a stroke of paralysis Saturday, April 4, and had been very ill since, died at his home one mile south of Wickware Monday afternoon. The funeral was held Wednesday noon from the Wickware M.E. church, Rev. Yeoman of Argyle officiating, and interment was made in Elkland Cemetery. William J. Fisher was born at Waterloo, Ontario, December 1, 1859. When two years of age he moved with his parents to their farm near Wickware where his mother still lives. In December 28, 1888, he was married to Miss Emma J. Muzzy of Cass City and to this union one daughter, Mrs. Alex McLachlin, of Argyle, was born. Mr. Fisher had suffered two strokes before the last one and when he was taken ill a week ago hopes for his recovery were doubtful, and death relieving him of his suffering, was welcomed. Deceased is the oldest of six children of Mr. and Mrs. James I. Fisher; one brother, Eleazer, preceded him in death. The others are Mrs. J. A. Caldwell, Mrs. Jno. Krapf, Joshua and Elijah Fisher, all of this vicinity. The mother also survives the son and mourns the loss of her first born. A cousin, Miss Mary Gunson, of Coldwater attended the funeral.
