  KAUFMAN, Oscar W.\emdash Oscar William Frederick Kaufamn, was born on August 14, 1898, in Ottawa, Ont., the son of Henry and Ernestine Kaufman. He married the late Paula Huras in 1923 and they resided in Windsor, Ont. Until they moved to Kitchener. They were active members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and later became members of Hope Lutheran Church. Oscar and Paula were married 61 years; they resided at 50 Askin Place, until 1984. At the time of his death, Oscar resided at Meadowcroft Place. Oscar was a heating contractor who owned and operated his own business until retiring in 1968. Dear father of Sandra, Jim and his wife Elsie, Ken and his wife Jean, Doug and his wife Nora, Catherine and her husband Wilfred Butler, Joan and her husband John Douglas. He will also be missed by his 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews in Ottawa and Kitchener. He was suddenly called to his Heavenly home on Thursday, Oct. 1, 1987, in his 90th year. Visitation in the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Friday), continuing until noon on Saturday, then at Hope Lutheran Church, 30 Shaftsbury Drive, Kitchener, for the funeral service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Rev. Kenneth Zorn will conduct the service. Interment Woodland cemetery Memorial donations to Lutheran Hour, the building fund of Hope Lutheran Church or Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary, St. Catharines gratefully acknowledge.
