    • ALBERT FRANK RAU

      Following a lengthy illness, Mr. Albert Frank Rau, 67, passed away at his home, 14 South Street, on Wednesday, June 18. He had been a resident of this district his entire lifetime, and lived in Elmira 28 years. He was a member of the Holy Name Society.

      Surviving are his wife, five daughters, Mrs. John Zinger, Elmira; Martina, Mrs. Edward Kraehling, Elmira; Catherine, Mrs. Stanley Potter, Kitchener; Alberta, Mrs. George Tapping, Elmira, and Veronica, Mrs. Albert Duguay, Elmira; five sons, Clayton of Stratford, Herbert, Pius, Albert and Jerome, all of Elmira, survive; one brother,- Henry Rau of Hawkesville, and three sisters, Mrs. John Reidel St. Clements, Mrs. Jos. Wey, Heidelberg and Mrs. Joseph Fischer of Kitchener, 24 grandchildren and one great-grand-child. He was predeceased by one daughter and three sons.

      The funeral was held from his late residence on Saturday morning with prayers at 9.15 o'clock, followed with mass at St. Theresa's R. C. church at 9.30. Burial was made itt Elmira R. C. cemetery. Rev. J. J. Arnold officiated.
