    • MRS. MINNIE ASPENLEITER

      PESTON, Aug 31— One of Preston’s oldest residents, Mrs. Minnie Aspenleiter, died here yesterday afternoon, an illness of only 10 days duration. Mrs. Aspenleiter who through 89 years of cititenslup in the municipality earned numerous friends, was 92 years of age on Aug 1. Born in Germany, the deceased came to Canada and Preston when only four years of age and has resided in the municipality since that time. She was a staunch member of St. Clement's RC. church, being the oldest member, while she was also a member of the Altar Society and the League of the Sacred Heart. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Doyle, Preston and Mrs. Jacob Hummell of Peterborough and one sister, Mrs. Louisa Hass, Cleo, Mich. Three children predeceased her, while her husband predeceased her 62 years ago. The remains will be at the Gordon Pass Funeral Home, Preston, until Thursday at 7 o'clock when they will be removed to the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Doyle, 705 Laurel street, Preston. Requiem high mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's RC. church on Saturday at 9 a.m. Interment will take place in the RC. cemetery.
