  Abraham Tohman, "was born January 29th, 1835. On October 13th, 1857, he was married to Esther Stauffer. They reside near Imlay City, Michigan, where they own one of the most beautiful farms of the county. Their family consisted of five children"1 Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character.
