- John Thomas Underwood
The death occurred at St. Mary's Hospital at five o'clock last night of Mr. John Thomas Underwood, aged 69 years, three months, and 10 days. The deceased has been in failing health for the last two or three months. In religion the deceased was a member of Calvary Evangelical church. He was born in Wellesley Township on November 2nd, 1863. He was predeceased by his wife some seven years ago.
The late Mr. Underwood is survived by six sons, Obal of Windsor, Ira of Kitchener, Oscar of Kitchener, Harry of Waterloo, Milo, Kitchener and Lloyd of Toronto, and by one daughter, Mrs. Edwin G. Sahli, city. Two brothers, Edward Underwood and William Underwood, both of Bridgeport, and one sister, Mrs. I. Thomas, Kitchener survive.
The funeral will be held with a private service on Sunday afternoon at 2: 30 o'clock from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sahli, 65 Glasgow Street, to Calvary Evangelical Church where a public service will be held at three o'clock. Interment will be made in Woodland Cemetery. The remains will be at the Kitchener Furniture Company Funeral Home until Saturday noon after which removal will take place to the home of Mrs. Sahli, 65 Glasgow Street.
