    • Oscar Underwood - Oscar Underwood of 67 Glasgow St., died today at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 82. Born near Bloomingdale, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John T. Underwood. He had lived in Kitchener for the past 70 years and was employed by Uniroyal Ltd., for 26 years before retiring in 1951. Surviving besides his wife, the former Elizabeth Gerber who he married Sept. 5, 1907 in Kitchener, are: four sons, Lorne of Kitchener, Howard and Robert, both of Waterloo, and James who is serving with the Canadian Armed Forces in Victoria, B.C.; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Elsie) Moogk of Waterloo and Mildred of Kitchener; two brothers, Ira and Milo, both of Kitchener; a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Ina) Sahli of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Ralph G., who was killed overseas in 1944, four brothers and a sister. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. conducted by Dr. J. V. Dahms, minister of Calvary United Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery, Waterloo.
