    • John M. Bechtel "the youngest son of Joseph and Sarah (Miller) Bechtel, was born July 11th, 1866. He is married to Lizzie Stumpf. They have one child, a son named VIII Milton Arthur. they reside at home with his parents."

      Last surviving member of the Joseph B. Bechtel family of 10 children, John M. Bechtel of Bloomingdale, passed away today, at St. Mary’s Hospital, after a brief illness, in his 70 year. Mr. Bechtel, had farmed on the old Bechtel homestead, near Kossuth, for many years prior to 1919, when he moved to Bloomingdale, where he has lived ever since. He attended, Snyder Mennonite Church, Bloomingdale. Surviving are his wife and two sons, Milton A. Bechtel, Kossuth and Norman A. Bechtel, Cobalt, Ont. and 7 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Mrs. Mary Eby of this city, only last Monday. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon, from his late home, Bloomingdale, at 2 o’clock, to the Wanner Mennonite church near Hespeler, for servives at 3 p.m. Interment will take place, in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Howard Stevanus, Bloomingdale, will be in charge. The remains will be resting at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, Kitchener, until 3 o’clock, Saturday afternoon.
