- BRUBACHER, Melvin M. - Peacefully, on Friday, March 7, 2008, at his home, RR 1, St. Clements, Melvin M. Brubacher, in his 90th year. Father of Harvey and Viola Brubacher of RR 1, Wallenstein, Salome and Noah Brubacher of RR 3, Wallenstein, Elmer and Mary Brubacher of RR 2, Drayton. Step-father of Elam and Nancy Martin of RR 1, Mount Forest, Lizzie and Allan Wideman of RR 1, St. Clements, Martha and Aaron Jantzi of Milverton, Mary and Edgar Brubacher of RR 3, Harriston. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 22 step-grandchildren and 22 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers; three sisters; one step-brother and one step-sister. Predeceased by his first wife, Leah Martin (1995); his second wife, Mary Ann Martin (2005); his parents, Israel and Mary Brubacher; his step-mother, Magdalena Reist; three sisters and two step-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the home of Allan Wideman, RR 1, St. Clements on Saturday, March 8 (today) from 1-5 p.m. Transfer will then be made to the home of Noah Brubacher, RR 3, Wallenstein for visitation on Sunday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Monday morning at 9 a.m. then to the South Peel Mennonite Meeting House for further service and burial in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira.
