    • Edith E. Hunter, Carl Amos Wed at Zion Church

Baskets of iris, peonies and carnations decorated Zion Evangelical Church Saturday for the wedding of Edith Ellen Hunter, daughter of Mrs. Lovina Hunter, Bridgeport, and Carl David Amos, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Amos, 369 Frederick St., Kitchener. Rev. E. E. Hallman officiated. Mrs. Glenn Kruspe was at the organ. Given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. William Duench, the bride chose a white satin gown with embroidered neckline, long sleeves tapering over the hands and nylon overskirt forming a slight train. Her billowing embroidered veil was caught to an orange blossom headdress and she wore a strand of pearls, gift of the bridegroom. Her flowers were better times roses and white feathered carnations. Miss Lovina Hunter attended her sister, wearing a yellow gown with moiré bodice and net skirt. A yellow floral headdress held her shoulder veil and she carried talisman roses tufted with yellow net. Mr. Donald Amos was his brother's best man. A dinner at the Pines, Bridgeport, was held for the immediate families. The bride's mother wore a wine crepe dress with white accessories and the bridegroom's mother a Queen's blue draped dress with white accessories. Their corsages were of red roses. For a trip to Ottawa and points north, the bride wore a Queen's blue suit with white accessories and corsage of red roses. Mr. and Mrs. Amos will reside in Kitchener.
