    • Oldest Glenmorris Resident Died Tues. - Glenmorris - Mrs. John B. Fraser, well-known resident of Glenmorris and oldest resident of the village and community, passed away at her home, on Tuesday morning after, an illness of six weeks. She was in her 94th year. The former Janet Middlemiss Renwick, she was born October 21, 1856 on the farm one mile east of Ayr which was cleared by her father, one of the early Scottish pioneers of the district. The farm is now occupied by Jack George. She was the second eldest daughter of Robert Renwick and Isabella Sudden. She attended Ayr, school and was a member of the old Stanley Street Presbyterian Church in Ayr at the time of her death she was the oldest member of the Glenmorris United Church and a life member of the Woman's Missionary Society. On March 28, 1882, she was married to John B. Fraser, who predeceased her in January, 1945. With the exception of four years spent at Carberry, Man., she had spent her life in the vicinity of Ayr and Glenmorris. She is survived by one son, Jas. R., of Vancouver, B.C., and two daughters, (Mary) Mrs. James Sharp of Glenmorris and (Nettie) Mrs. Albert Williamson, Sheffield, and one sister, (Roberta) Mrs. E. Evitt of Vancouver. B.C. A daughter, (Isabella) Mrs. James Dryden, passed away 36 years ago. There are 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m.; from the W. R. Coutts Funeral Home, Galt. Interment will be in the Ayr Cemetery.
