  Died, In North Dumfries, on Saturday afternoon, 28th inst., at 10 minutes to 5 o'clock, Janet, Relict of the late George Edgar, Aged 71 Years and 5 Months. Funeral, On Tuesday, the 31st inst., at 11 o'clock a.m., from her late residence, Lot 31, 9th Con., North Dumfries, to Mount View Cemetery, Galt. Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend. North Dumfries, May 28, 1887. Waterloo Historical Society Death Notices Collection - photocopies ___________________ Death of Mrs. George Edgar - At the time of the death of Mr. George Edgar, his aged partner in life was also a severe sufferer, and there were grave doubts felt as to the probabilities of her recovery. For a short time subsequent to her husband's death she gained a little, but it was only a feeble flicker and on Saturday afternoon last she passed away. Many will well remember the extreme kindness of this aged couple, and the warmest sympathy is felt by the residents of this section for the family thus doubly bereft. Mrs. Edgar was interred by the side of her husband in Mount Vernon Cemetery on Tuesday last.
