- A former foreman at the CNR bridge and building in Stratford, Jonas Flood, 82, of 40 Young St., died today at St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. Flood was born Feb. 2 1870, at Chesley, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Francis Flood. His wife, the former Lucy Etta Jackson, died in 1941. Mr. Flood was a member of Trinity United Church. Surviving are seven sons, Clarence, Wilbert and Harold of Stratford, Milton and James of Detroit, Frank of Canton, Ohio, and Alvin of Woodstock, and one daughter, Miss Dorothy Flood of Kitchener. A second daughter, Bernice, died in 1918. Mr. Flood was the last surviving member of the Francis Flood family. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where the funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. with interment in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. Rev. O.P. Hossie of Trinity Church will officiate.
