Died: Oct. 1, 1991, New Hamburg, Ont. survivors - sons: Vernon, Leonard; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by: Elizabeth Wagler (wife), Lyle (son). Gospel Herald Volume 84, Number 44 November 5, 1991 - page 14. _____________________ Schwartzentruber, Allen -On Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1991, at his residence, Nithview Home, New Hamburg. He was formerly of RR 2, Petersburg. He was born in Wilmot township 88 years ago, a son of the late Daniel Schwartzentruber and the former Barbara Erb. Allen was a member of St. Agatha Mennonite Church where he had been a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He and his wife Elizabeth had served in Voluntary Service in Michigan and Mississippi for a period of time. He had been a member of Wilmot Centre Senior Citizens. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Schwartzentruber who predeceased him July 22, 1990. Lovingly remembered by three sons, Kenneth and his wife Grace of Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, Vernon and his wife June of Kitchener, Leonard and his wife Delphine of RR 1, New Hamburg; one daughter-in-law, Eleanor (Mrs. Gerald Roth) of New Hamburg; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Allen was predeceased by one son, Lyle; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Christian and one sister, Mrs. Lavina (Dan) Lichti. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, after 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) and until Friday at noon, when transfer will be made to St. Agatha Mennonite Church for the service at 2: 30 p.m., with Pastor Steve Gerber officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Mennonite Board of Missions or Nithview Home.
