  Mrs. Eliza Lindner of this city passed away last night at the K-W hospital after a lengthy illness. Deceased suffered a painful fall on an icy pavement on William street, Waterloo, in December and never fully recovered from the effects of it, the fall proving to be contributary to her death. The late Mrs. Lindner was born in Hessen, Germany, in April. 1855, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Casper Schaefer who were among the earliest settlers of this city. She was married in 1878 to Arno Lindner who with two daughters. Irene and Nellie, and an adopted daughter predeceased her a number of years ago. Mrs. Lindner had spent almost her entire life in this place. being a resident here since her arrival from Germany with the exception of the period from 1892 to 1912 when the family resided in Buffalo. She was a member of the Church of the New Jerusalem and is survived by one brother, Henry H. Schaefer. Spetz street, city. The funeral will take place from the residence of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Conrad Bitzer, 83 Benton street, on Wednesday after- noon at 2.30 o'clock to Mount Hope cemetery.
