    • Woman, 90, Has 140 Descendants

DETROIT, March 5 On her 90th birthday Mrs. Minnie Weittzel looked back at her motherhood of two families of nine children each.

Mrs. Weitzel, of East Detroit, had nine children by her first husband, Daniel Bishop. He died 1913.

In 1921, when the youngest Bishop child was 18, Mrs. Weitzel married Martin Weitzel, who had been married to her first husband's sister. Weitzel, a widower, also had nine children. "It was like starting motherhood all over again," Mrs. Weitzel recalled yesterday. "His youngest child was just four."

Mrs. Weitzel has outlived her second husband, one of her sons and two of her daughters. She now has almost 140 descendants, and says:
"I won't feel content until 1 can count 180 offsprings. That will be 10 times the children I raised. And it will sort of round out my life."
