  With profound sadness we announce that Alan George Gingerich passed away at Freeport Hospital on Friday November 29, 2019 at the age of 67 years. Loving father of Dylan (Sheila) and Meagan (Dwight); Dear brother of Christine, Keith (Barbara), Susan (David predeceased), and Jane. Alan's greatest joy and most honored title was that of "Grandpa" to his two grandchildren; Dayja and Samson. Predeceased by his parents Raymond and Esther Gingerich. Uncle Al will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews as well as relatives and friends. Alan worked at BF Goodrich for over 20 years. He enjoyed golfing with his family and friends. Alan always had a joke and was known for lighting up the room with his presence. He constantly made others laugh and feel at ease. The way he died is just like he lived: he wrote his own rules and he paved his own way. Alan will be remembered for his great sense of humor, thoughtfulness, kindness and devotion to his family. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Freeport Hospital as expressions of sympathy would be appreciated.
