  • Notes 
    • Mrs. Katherine Gottschalg passed away at a local hospital this morning. She was born March 3, 1859, at Ontario, Canada, and came to Plymouth, Jefferson county, in 1885. She had been making her home with her son, John, and family on North 10th street since October, 1944. She fell a few weeks ago and broke her hip.

      Mrs. Gottschalg is survived by one son, John of Beatrice; one grandson, Melvin, with the Seventeenth army in Germany; one brother, J. F. Wiegand of Loveland, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Harrifeld of Blue Hill, Nebr., and Mrs. Daniel Wagner of New Hamburg, Canada.

      Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's Lutheran church at Plymouth with the Rev. A. T. Degner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Harman-Johnson funeral directors in charge.
