- THE COOK HEIRS GET THE MONEY ON POLICY
COUNTY CLERK PAYS OVER THE SUM OF $925.50
County Clerk Brown Monday morning pay to attorney Elmer E. Stockwell for the Ladies of the Modern Maccabees $925.50, to his clients Truman Cook, Robert R. Cook, Leon Cook and William W. Cook, being the sum recently awarded them on order of the Circuit Court less the counsel fees.
Michael Enright, stepfather of the Cooks, claims the money which was due on a certificate originally issued to the mother on The Cooks privately to her marriage to Enright. The Ladies of the Modern Maccabees took matter into court for a decision as to who was entitled to the money with the foregoing.
