  There died on Thursday last one of the sturdy, honest farmers of Woolwich Township in the person of Christian Braeuchle. Deceased was born in Wuerttemberg, Germany, on February 10th, 1843 and, his parents having died, came to Canada in 1854 and was a resident of Waterloo County ever since. On March 10th, 1865, he was married to Elizabeth Borth, who died in 1873 leaving no children. On March 9th, 1875 he was married a second time, namely to Martha Bott who survives him. To them were born 3 sons and 2 daughters, one of the sons died when only 14 days old. He leaves also one sister, Mrs. John Dreisinger of Elmira and one brother. Deceased was a cooper by trade, but for a number of years past he has devoted his time entirely to farming. The cause of death was consumption, of which he suffered about six months. The remains were interred in Elmira Union Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, many friends and neighbors doing him the last honors. A pathetic incident in the funeral procession was his little dog trotting along beside the hearse. Elmira Advertiser, Feb. 26, 1903 ______________________________ Died Braeuchle. In Woolwich, February 19th, Christian Jacob Braeuchle, aged 60 years and 9 days. Elmira Advertiser, Feb. 26, 1903 ___________________________ DIED-Near Elmira, on Thursday, Feb. 19th. Christian Brauchle, aged 60 years. Deceased was many years a resident of Elmira, where he followed the trade of coopering. Latterly, during a number of years he lived on a farm about 2 miles northeast of Elmira. He was of quiet demeanor, honest and upright in his dealings and highly respected by all who had the pleasure of his acquaintance.
