Notes |
- Death of John Fry
We regret very much to chronicle the death of John C. Fry, of the 9th concession of Blenheim, after a lingering illness, on the 11th of December, 1904, at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 15 days. The late John Fry was born near Berlin and with his parents moved while yet a mere child, to the township of Blenheim. He was a good farmer, quiet, unobtrusive in manner, devotedly attached to his family, a good neighbor and a useful citizen. His wife, daughter of the late John Merner, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and only daughter Clara, predeceased him. Three sons survive, David M. M. E., of Pittsburg, Pa., .John Wesley and Chester, at home, who have the profound sympathy of their friends and neighbors in the great bereavement that has befallen them. The funeral services were conduct in the Evangelical church, Blenheim, by Rev. S. M. Hauch, of Waterloo, a former pastor, in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Two sisters and two brothers also survive, C. C. Fry., Bright; M. C. Fry, Kurtzville, Mrs. John Riehl, Lisbon and Mrs. David Bean, Waterloo.
