  GOODRICH, Mary Alma Passed away peacefully, at Fairview Mennonite Home on Friday, June 11, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Charles Samuel Goodrich and lovingly remembered by her sisters; Janet (the late Tom) Inglis, Ruth (the late John) Hess, Dorothy (the late Merlin) Grove and brother, George (Grace) Schott and sister-in-law, Helen Chandler, as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Martha (nee Snyder) and Nelson Bechtel and step-mother, Margaret McTavish. Alma was an accomplished pianist and spent many years teaching piano, at Three Hills Prairie Bible Institute, in Three Hills, Alberta. She brought much pleasure playing for the Bible Study Group at the Preston School House apartments. Alma was a devout and active Christian, who expressed her faith in many ways. She taught Bible School at Markstay, in northern Ontario and a Voluntary Service assignment in Mathis, Texas, helping Spanish children learn English. When Alma and Charles moved to Sacramento, California, she took a special course and worked as a librarian, in the State Library. Alma's family will welcome friends at the Fairview Mennonite Home Auditorium, 515 Langs Drive, Cambridge on Wednesday afternoon, from 3-4 p.m., with a memorial service being held at 4 p.m. The interment service will take place privately at Wanner Mennonite Cemetery.
