    • Peter P. Martin, "the fifth son of Peter G. Martin, was born December 12th, 1859. On February 6th, 1885, he was married to Susannah Reist. They reside on a farm in Woolwich Township, several miles north-east of Elmira. Their family consists of three children"

      PETER P. MARTIN

      Peter P. Martin, 85, died suddenly Tuesday morning, Jan. 30th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Martin, Third Concession Peel. Born in Woolwich Towship he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. P. G. Martin. In 1885, he married Susanna Reist, who predeceased him ten years later. He then married Lydia Brubacher, who predeceased him 27 years ago.

      Surviving are four sons, Jeremiah, Manoah, Peter B., all of St. Jacobs, and Jonathan B. of Floradale; five daughters, Mrs. Noah (Amanda) Lichty, Mrs. Aaron (Elizabeth) Rudy, Mrs. Christian B. (Catherine) Mar- tin, all of Heidelberg, Mrs. William (Lydia) Martin, Third Concession Peel, Mrs. Emmanuel (Mary Ann) Sherk of Wallenstein and a brother Jonathan P. Martin of Floradale.

      The funeral was held Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Manasseh B. Martin, Heidelberg (near Burkhart's School), followed by church service at Conestogo Mennonite Church. Burial was made in the adjoining cemetery.
