  Died At her home in Ayr, on Friday, December 25, 1953 Elizabeth Jane Hunt widow of George Landreth, in her 80th year. The Funeral Will take place from the W.O. Ball Funeral Home on Monday, December 28th at 2.30 p.m. Interment in Ayr Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation Funeral Card _______________________________ Mrs. George Landreth Passes - Following a lengthy illness, the death occurred at her home in Ayr on Christmas Day of Mrs. George Landreth, in her 80th year. Born in Washington in 1873, she was the former Elizabeth Jane Hunt, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Hunt. Early in life she trained as a nurse in Toronto General Hospital, and after graduation received special training in a Detroit hospital. For many years she practised her profession in Ayr and district. The late Mrs. Landreth was a regular attendant of Knox United Church and a member of its Women's Association. She was also a valued member of the Ayr Women's Institute. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Mrs. J. M. Hunt. She was predeceased by her husband in 1921 and a few years ago by a brother, J. Melvin Hunt. - The Funeral - The funeral was held from the W. O. Ball Funeral Parlor on Monday, with Rev. W. D. Goodger officiating. Interment was made in the Ayr Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Albert Johnson, Gilbert Gemmell, Arthur Hawes, Lee Miller, Clare Douglas and O. S. Dalrymple. The Ayr News Dec 31 1953 pg 8
