  George D. Lewis - The funeral took place to Ayr cemetery on Saturday afternoon of the late George D. Lewis of Toronto, whose death occurred on Thursday, in his 76th year. He was a former principal of Ayr Public School, and will be well and favorably remembered by numerous of his old pupils. After leaving here, he lived in Orangeville for many years, being a former mayor of that town. Deceased was a member of Ayr Masonic Lodge. Besides his widow, whose maiden name was Isobel Linton, he is survived by two sons, Adam L., vice-president of Southam Press, and. J. L., of Sinclair-Valentine, both of Toronto, and two daughters, Mrs. Spencer of Winnipeg and Mrs., Head of New York. The Ayr News Jun 21 1929 pg 3
