    • Margaret Ellen Farr, wife of George Alexander Farr, passed away Monday, August 14th, 1944, following a brief illness of eight days, at her home on South St., Elmira, where she had resided for the past 24 years.

      She was eighty years of age, born on April 30th, 1864, on the Fourth Line of Peel, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Switzer. Mr. and Mrs. Farr would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary next December. She was a member of Wesley United Church and the Women's Missionary Society; also gave much help to the Red Cross.

      Surviving are her husband, one brother, Samuel Switzer, Elmira, three sons, Fred of Ancaster, Percy of Milverton, Norman of Drayton and one daughter, Luella, Mrs. Roy Robbins of Elmira, There are fifteen grandchildren, three grandsons be- ing in the armed forces and one in France at the present time; and one great granddaughter.

      The funeral took place on Wednesday, Aug. 16th, 1944, from the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel with interment in Elmira Cemetery. Rev. L. A. Thompson officiated.

      The pallbearers were O. W. Reichard, W. Martinson, Fred Ruppel, Earl Jackson, Wilmer Freeman and Roy Honsinger.
