  LIPPERT, Sarah Jordan (PhD) Passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at University of Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor at the age of 43. Beloved wife of David Cuthbertson. Dear daughter of Barbara Brandon (Carl) and the late Gerard G. Lippert (Dick). Cherished sister of Kyle Lippert (Julia), Moragh Lippert and Aunna Lippert (Craig Riggs). She will be missed by her mother and father-in-law Glenn and Deenie Cuthbertson and her sisters-in-law Rebecca Cuthbertson (Christopher Lane) and Tricia Cuthbertson (Marc Bondy). Sarah's family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 2:30 p.m. - 3:45 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel of the funeral home, at 4:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment at Woodland Cemetery, 119 Arlington Blvd., Kitchener on Friday, May 3, 2019. After completing her undergraduate and master's studies at the University of Western Ontario, Sarah completed her Ph.D. in Art History at the Pennsylvania State University. Sarah was an Associate Professor of Art History with tenure at the University of Michigan Flint. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate students, Sarah was an accomplished scholar who published numerous academic articles, edited two anthology books, and recently published her first single author academic book. Sarah also founded an academic society which recently secured a periodical journal for which she was the primary editor. Sarah also served on many committees including recently on the Senate Advisory Committee for Academic Affairs in Ann Arbor and as Chair of the Chancellor's Budget Advisory Committee in Flint and as President of the University of Michigan Flint's Chapter of the American Association of University Professors. Sarah will be missed dearly by her students and colleagues.
