    • "Sudden Death in Listowel"

When Mr. Ezra Biehn of the 2nd Conc. Wallace went home from town on Saturday night about half past nine o'clock he received a great shock. He found his young wife lying on the floor cold in death. The last seen of her alive was about an hour previous to the husband's return. She had taken the baby, seven months old with her and ran over on a friendly visit to a neighbors, Isaiah Hallman, and left there at half past eight, seemingly in the best of health. Nothing more of what happened is known as it was only on Mr. Biehn's return after completing his business in town that it was known that anything was wrong. He found the door locked and had to enter through a window. The child was asleep in its cradle, the mother having undressed it after her return and put it to sleep. She was found lying at length on the floor, and the husband thinking she had also fallen asleep tried to rouse her, but soon realized the situation. Coroner Philip made an examination of the circumstances next morning but found not the slightest evidence of anything other than death from natural causes. Although she had never complained of trouble with her heart, it is very probably that death was caused by heart failure. The deceased, Ida Klemmer, was in the 29th year of her age and was married less than 3 years ago. She was a dau. of Mr. J. Klemmer of Wallace, and a sister of Mr. Wm. Klemmer of Calgary, formerly resident of Town. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon to the Evangelical cemetery on the 3rd line of Wallace and was largely attended. Her husband and her people are grief-stricken and have the widest sympathy in their sudden affliction."
