- James Watson was born in Norfolk county, Engalnd in March, 1799, got married in 1822, and came to Canada in 1836, settling in Dumfries twp. About 22 years ago, he moved to Blenheim twp. on Sept. 29, 1868, he died while preaching at the funeral of a neighbour, Mr. Stauffer; survived by his wife. He had been a local preacher for 35 years, and was one of the preachers on the Washington Circuit at the time of his death.
