    • WILLIAM GRAY

A well known resident of Galt, William "Wally" Gray, beloved husband of Louise Marley, passed away last night at his home, 27 Ann street. Mr. Gray was in his 76th year. He had been ailing for about a year, but had been confined to his bed only since Sunday.

Born near Georgetown in British Guiana, South America, Mr. Gray was educated in Scotland and as a young man he was an engineer on a sugar plantation. He came to Galt about 50 years ago and was employed here as a machine fitter at Cowan and Co. and the R. McDougall Co.
His hobbies were photography and fishing. He had an interesting collection of pictures of Galt that he had taken in the late nineties and first part of this century. His religious denomination was Presbyterian.

Surviving are his wife and one daughter, Margaret, at home. The late Mr. Gray is resting at the T. Little and Son Ltd. funeral home, 39 Grand avenue north, where the funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at three O'clock. Interment will take place in Mount View Cemetery.
