      ELORA - William Alexander Bott of RR 1, Alma died today at Groves Hospital in Fergus following a lengthy illness. He was 54.

      He was born in Woolwich Township, a son of Mrs. Walter Bott and the late Mr. Bott. Mr. Bott was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Fergus.

      He farmed in the Alma district for 30 years and he was employed by the circulation department as a Record driver in Peel Township for 20 years.

      Surviving besides his wife, the former Hazel Grose, are nine sons, Donald and Wilfred of Al-ma, Leslie of Guelph, David, Douglas, Kenneth, William, Nor-man and Ronald, all at home; four daughters, Mrs. William (Marjorie) Freeman of Platts-vile, Kathleen of Kirkland Lake, Linda and Audrey at home; two brothers, Floyd of Belwood and Lawrence of Palmerston; one sister, Mrs. Herbert (Margaret) Witzel of Elora; and five grandchildren.

      The body is at the Towriss Funeral Home in Elora until Monday when removal will be made to Bethel Baptist Church in Fergus for service at 2 p.m_ Rev. Ronald Mills will officiate.

      Burial will be in Elora cemetery.
