LISTOWEL. Feb. 4.-Daniel [Samuel] Burnett, 85, died last night at the home of his son. Percy, in Elma township after an illness of more than a month. Born at Winterbourne or April 11, 1855, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Burnett, he resided in Elma township for the last 50 years. Deceased married Anne Wollis at Winterbourne 55 years ago. She predeceased him in August, 1936. He was a member of Listowel United church.
Surviving are two sons, Percy and Edward, both of Elma township. two daughters. Mrs. Robert McCourt of Elma and Mrs. Charles J. Seelhoff of London, Ont. and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Law of Moose Jaw, Sask.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1.30 p.m. at the home of his son. Percy, with Rev. John Elder, pastor of Milton Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Listowel.
