- SCHMADL, Carl - At his residence on Friday, December 9. 1977, suddenly following a heart attack, Carl Schmadle of 221 Woodhaven Road, Kitchener, aged 57 years.
For many years he was an employee of Uniroyal Ltd.
Husband of Elizabeth Manser; father of Richard and Jim, both of Kitchener, Kathy of Vancouver and Susan (Mrs. Frank Chatterson) of Kitchener; brother of Betty (Mrs. Clarence Martin) of Waterloo. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Schmadl. He was pre-deceased by his father Karl Schmadle.
During the Second World War he served overseas with the Perth Regiment and was awarded the Medal of Honor.
Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W,., Kitchener on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. A private family service will be held on Monday with Rev. W. Arnold McNeill of Benton Street Baptist Church officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery.
