- HOWLING, Eben Peacefully, on Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at Nithview home, New Hamburg, aged 91 years.
He had farmed at RR 1, New Dundee and was born of the late John and Sarah (Hilgartner) Howling. Eben had attended Bethel Missionary Church, New Dundee and enjoyed driving tractor and traveling in his retirement years.
Beloved husband of Irene M. Spies, who predeceased him March 29, 1989. Loving father of Raymond and Sheila Howling, Margaret Miller, all of RR 1, New Dundee. He will be missed by a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Howling of Neustedt; two son-in-laws, Jim Miller of RR 2, Petersburg and Bill and his wife Ruth Howell of Kitchener. Ever remembered by 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Eben was predeceased by a son, Delford Howling; a daughter, Sandra Howell; four brothers, Manton, Clarence, Wilfred and Ralph and a sister in infancy.
Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, tonight (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at noon transfer will be made to Bethel Missionary Church, New Dundee for the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Graham Burkhart officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, New Dundee.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Nithview Home or Bethel Missionary Church.
