  BRODRECHT, Alice - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Stratford General Hospital. Alice resided in New Hamburg and had formerly farmed with her husband Lorne at RR 1 New Hamburg. She was born 81 years ago in South Easthope Township and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Catherine (Krantz) Weicker. Alice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. Alice enjoyed quilting, crocheting and canning food. Beloved wife of the late Lorne Brodrecht, who predeceased her July 24, 2003. Loving mother of Gerald and his wife Marlene of Thorsby, Alberta, Ross and his wife Cathy of Tavistock, Glen and his wife Nancy of New Hamburg, Dianne and her husband Geoff Allen of West Lorne and Stuart and his wife Mary Anne of Listowel. Sadly missed by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also missed by her sister, Erma Heinbuch of Tavistock and sister-in-law, Altha Weicker of RR 4, Stratford. Alice was predeceased by grandsons, Jamie Allen (1980) and Jeff Brodrecht (1996); brother, Rueben Weicker; sisters, Alfreida Weicker, Laura and Clarence Weitzel, Irene and John Kalbfleisch, Edna Weicker and brother-in-law, Clayton Heinbuch. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St. , New Hamburg on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. A public committal service will take place on Wednesday, October 22 at 1 p. m. at Riverside Cemetery, New Hamburg prior to the funeral service which will follow at 2: 30 p. m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg.
