Notes |
- Haffner, Margery Marie
Died peacefully on January 15, 2016 with her family at her side, just eleven days shy of her 81st birthday. A long-time resident of Kitchener, Margery spent the first half of her life in New Hamburg. Beloved daughter of the late Milton and Luella Haffner. Margery is predeceased by her siblings, Mildred Binkley, Shirley Weber and Ronald Haffner. Margery will be missed by sisters-in-law Elsie Haffner, Lois Hoffman (Gary) and many nieces and nephews.
Along with former husband the late Howard Brown, Margery was the loving mother of Kevin Brown (Sheila), Tracey Brown (Ian Mann) and Tim Brown (Maria). Her children returned her love by supplying her with wonderful Grandchildren, Ashley, Ethan, Kirk, Adam and Steven who all loved spending time with their Grandma.
In her later years Margery married Richard Phillips who is a kind gentle soul. Rick made her happy for the rest of her life. When her remaining year was beset by illness and affliction, Rick gave her love, caring and attention to ease her burden, something for which her family is grateful. Margery lived a good life and brought love and value to those around her. She will be sadly missed by those who loved her and respected by all who knew her.
Margery's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm and on Monday from 9:30 - 10:30 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.
