- C. C. DILL KILLED IN AUTO ACCIDENT
Car Plunges Over Embankment Three Miles West of Superior; Lights Were Out.
Special to The Tribune. Superior, Nov. 3. - Conrad C. Dill of Iron Mountain, 71 years old, was killed at 7 o'clock Thursday night when the car he was driving went over a bank three miles west of Superior.
Mr. Dill and his daughter, Mrs. Pearl D. Boyer, a candidate for clerk of the district court in Mineral county, had been campaigning and were returning to their home at Iron Mountain.
The lights of the automobile in which they were driving went out of commission. Then Mr. Dill and Mrs. Boyer were compelled to "feel" their way along the road, the former driving while his daughter went ahead with a lantern.
At the point where the accident happened, it is said, Mr. Dill had to use his brakes, but got mixed up in the foot pedals, pushed down on the reverse and went over the bank to his death.
Mr. Dill is survived by his wife and his daughter. He was a civil engineer and had lived in Iron Mountain for 34 years. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon with Dr. Dodd officiating.
