  ZEHR, Horace J. (CIB Ontario) Suddenly, on Sunday, Oct. 7, 1979, at Barrie, Ont. Mr. Horace Zehr of 3 Stone St., New Hamburg, aged 47 years. He was a member of Zion United Church, New Hamburg, where he was an elder of the church and chairman of the nomination committee. He was a certified Insurance Broker and owned Zehr Insurance in New Hamburg and Milverton. He was past president of the New Hamburg Board of Trade and a member of the New Hamburg Town Band. Lovingly remembered by his wife, the former Gerda Van Putten, whom he married in December of 1958; dear father of John Gerrit and Susanne Gerda, both at home. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Zehr of New Hamburg; two brothers Harley of Tavistock, Elwood of Chesley and one sister Catherine (Mrs. Edward Hasenpflug) of Atwood. He was predeceased by his father, the late Peter R. Zehr. The late Mr. Zehr is resting at the Omand-Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, until noon Wednesday, Oct. 10, when removal will be made to Zion United Church for service at 2 p.m. with Rev.
