- MORTGAGE SALE. Default having been made in the conditions of a certain indenture of mortgage, executed by Helen A. Leslie and William J. Leslie to Charles J. Monroe, on the 18th day of April, A. D. 1885, and recorded in the office of Register of Deeds for the county of Van Buren, in the State of Michigan, on the twentieth day of April, A. D. 1885, in liber 34 (34) of Mortgages, on page three hundred and sixty-three (363), which said mortgage was duly assigned to C. W. Thompson on the 8th day of January, A. D. 189, and which said assignment was duly recorded in said register's office in liber forty-two (42) of mortgages on page 131, on the 14th day of January, 1890, by which the power of sale contained therein becomes operative, on which mortgage there is claimed to be due at the date of this notice for the principal sum secured by said mortgage, and the interest at ten per cent. covenanted to be paid, in all, the sum of one hundred and one dollars and eighty-seven cents, together with an attorney or solicitor's fee of twenty dollars, provided for in said mortgage, in case any proceedings should be taken to foreclose the same, and ne proceedings having been instituted to recover said sums or any part thereof,
Notice is therefore hereby given that on Monday, the twenty-first (21st) day of April, A. D. 1890, at one o'clock in the afternoon, at the front entrance to the court house, in the village of Paw Paw, in said county, the said court house being the place of holding the circuit court in said county, said mortgage will be foreclosed by virtue of the power of sale therein contained by a sale at public auction to the highest bidder of the mortgaged premises described in said mortgage, or so much thereof as may be sufficient to satisfy the amount due on said mortgage, together with the interest at ten per cent. and all legal charges, to-wit: lots fifteen (15) and sixteen (16) of block twenty-six (26), of the village of South Haven, Van Buren county, Michigan. Dated January 9th, A. D. 1890.
