  • Notes
    • Death of Mr. Wm. Brydon

This old resident of this section died on Friday last at his residence, Macadamized Road, in his 78th year. If we are not mistaken, in the early part of his life Mr. Brydon was a sailor, but at any rate he came to Canada from Scotland about fifty years ago, ultimately settling on a farm near his brother, the late Robert Brydon, on the West River Road. There he resided until about sixteen years ago, when he sold his farm to Mr. Geo. Oliver, and purchased from Mr. James Grant the stone cottage on the Macadamized Road, where he and Miss Brydon have since resided. Mr. Brydon, until continued bad health afflicted him, was a cheery, pleasant man, delighting in a talk with his old friends. He was never married, Miss Brydon having been his more than friend and housekeeper for many years. His means, which were considerable, go to her, we understand.
