  Thomasing, William Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Friday December 21, 2007 at the age of 78. Dear son of the late Albert and Wilhelmina (nee Gehl) Thomasing. Dear brother of the late Norbert Thomasing (1958); Annette Hahn (1966); Helen Bisch (1990) and Beatrice Hartel (1995). Predeceased by two nephews, Michael Hahn (1996) and Paul Hartel (2002). Survived by his brother Jim of Ottawa. Also survived by 16 nieces & nephews; 41 great- nieces & nephews; and 20 great-great nieces & nephews. Willy retired from Jersey farming in 1974 and continued to farm the family homestead until moving to Norfolk Manor. He retired from Better Beef after 19 years service. He was a charter member of the Maryhill Historical Society. He enjoyed going to auctions and restoring farm machinery. He had several threshing demonstrations on his farm in recent years.
