- MRS. LEWIS E. KRAUS PASSED AWAY FRIDAY
Had a Brief Serious Illness of About Two Weeks' Duration
After being ill for only about two weeks, Mrs. Kathleen Kraus, wife of Lewis E. Kraus, 623 10th street east, passed away in Owen Sound shortly after seven o'clock on Friday evening. Desceased was a well-known resident here, where she lived for the past fifteen years and her death is a terrible shock to those who were intimately acquainted with her. A fine, Christian character, a wonderful mother and a loving wife. Mrs. Kraus was loved by family and friends alike. She was troubled for some time with her throat but was hardy considered in danger of her life until lately.
Mary Kathleen Weiler was born in Baden, Ont., almost fifty-four years ago and fifteen years ago came to Owen Sound. Her husband, along with six children, survive her. The children are: Harry, Bertha, Clarence, William, Dorothy and Gordon, all at home when the end came. The funeral which will be private, will be held on Tuesday afternoon from the late residence to Greenwood Cemetery at 2.30. Rev. J. D. McKenzie Naughton, D.D., will conduct the service.
