His parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Burgess, live at 31 Ball St., Galt, Ontario. He served in France for a year and seven months and saw heavy fighting. He died of wounds September 1, 1918. His Wounds were gun shot wounds in his chest received at Arras on Aug 29, 1918. He is buried at Ligny, St. Flochel near St. Pol, France.
