- Mrs. Chris. Z. Wagler
Died - The death occurred at her home in South Easthope on Thursday, March 4th, of Veronica Schwartzentruber, beloved wife of Mr. Chris. Z. Wagler, at the age of 38 years, 7 months and 7 days. The deceased had been ill but one week with appendicitis, which was the cause of her death. The late Mrs. Wagler was a daughter of the late Joseph Schwartzentruber of Baden, and was born in Wilmot township. She was married to Mr. Wagler sixteen years ago and they moved onto their farm in South Easthope, where she had since resided. She leaves to mourn her early departure her sorrowing husband and three daughters, besides 3 brothers and 3 sisters, namely: Joseph, of near New Dundee, John of Kitchener; Peter of Batavia, N.Y.; Mrs. Jacob Oesch, of Hay; Mrs. Noah Schlabach, of Elkton, Mich., and Mrs. John Schwartzentruber of Petersburg. The funeral was held on Sunday forenoon to the 16th line cemetery in East Zorra and was attended a by large number of relatives and friends by whom the departed was greatly beloved and esteemed.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Chr. Wagler, which took place on Sunday last to the Mennonite cemetery, was attended by a large concourse of friends and relatives to show their last love and respect to the departed. The community is in sympathy with the bereaved husband and family. (Sweetly she does slumber.)
