  ERTEL, Lloyd - Passed away peacefully, on Thursday, October 6, 2005, at Forest Heights Long Term Care, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Anne (nee Grubb) Ertel for 58 years. Loving father of Doug Ertel and his wife Regina, Ruth Arsenault and her husband Ray and Joyce Lichty and her husband Bill, all of Kitchener. Dear grandfather of Robbie Ertel (Tammy), Randy Ertel (Nancy), Stacy Kuepfer (Tom), Tracy Toffolo (Chris), Todd Lichty (Janet), Sean Lichty (Jenne). Great-grandfather of Joshua Kuepfer, Madison Toffolo, Hannah Kuepfer, Makayla Toffolo, Emma Lichty and Wyatt Lichty. Lloyd is survived by his sister Vera Herner and sister-in-law Bernice Ertel, all of Kitchener. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Isabella (nee Dorscht) Ertel, brothers Albert and his wife Helen and James, sister Bernice Hergott and her husband George and brother-in-law Ken Herner. Lloyd owned and operated Ertel's Maintenance Ltd. until retiring in 1990. Lloyd's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Friday) at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 749-8467. Parish prayers 8: 30 p.m. tonight (Friday). Prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 12: 30 p.m. followed by procession to St. Anthony Daniel RC Church for funeral mass at 1 p.m. Father Earl Talbot officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer Society of K-W or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
