  Samuel Longfield Funeral servicees were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in the lienhart Funeral Home at Wakarusa for Samuel Longfield, eighty-nine years old, who died Tuesday night, July 3, in the St Joseph hospital, Mishawaka. He was born September 23, 1866, near Nappanee and had resided in the community east of Bremen all his life. He never married and one brother, Edward Longfield of California, is his only surviving relative. Burial was in South Union Cemetery. Bremen Enquirer 12 July 1956
